Maya is a sophomore at Menlo-Atherton High School who finds herself with a particular affinity towards STEM education, the pursuit of bipartisanship (plus other political intricacies), and Harry Potter. A semifinalist in the International Science Breakthrough Award for her video on neuroplasticity, Maya continues to look for captivating ways to communicate fascinating scientific concepts and hopes to improve diversity in STEM education through Curieus.

At school, she is the software lead on the M-A robotics team and a varsity parliamentary debater for M-A's nationally-ranked debate team. Besides academics, Maya has also recently completed her second season on the varsity tennis team.
